Katie Seibel joins UW-Fond du
Lac as Student Services Intern.
Katie will primarily be working
with Melissa Luedtke during the
upcoming school year on
recruitment and retention and
new student orientation in
addition to advising students at
UW-Fond du Lac.
Katie grew up south of Fond
du Lac near Lomira and attended
Winnebago Lutheran Academy for
high school. She earned a
Bachelor of Science degree in
Human Services from UW Oshkosh
and is currently attending UW
Oshkosh working toward her
Master of Science in Education
degree with an emphasis in
Student Affairs and College
Counseling. She currently lives
in Waupun.
A Note from Katie…
I am very excited to have the
opportunity to work with the
wonderful student services staff
here at UW-Fond du Lac.
Throughout my college and
graduate experience, I have been
able to work with college
students in a number of facets
and I have truly found my
passion. I look forward to
learning new things and gaining
new experience with the students
and staff here at UW-Fond du
Lac.
Upon graduation, I hope to
find a position working within
the UW System at one of the many
two year campuses. My goal is to
help college students have a
meaningful and personalized
college experience just like
those who have helped me along
my journey.
I look forward to meeting many
of you in the coming year during
visits to your school. If there
is anything I can do for you,
please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Katie Seibel

ACT Exam Preparation
Course Offered
An ACT Preparation course is
being offered again this fall
and winter at the University of
Wisconsin-Fond du Lac. This
course is open to all students
who will be taking the ACT exam
this spring whether they will
attend UW-Fond du Lac or a
college elsewhere.
The sessions are taught by
faculty from the UW Colleges. At
the first class meeting of each
session, students will take a
diagnostic test to identify
areas of both strength and need.
The second and third class
meetings will include a review
of the pretest results, English,
reading, writing, math and
science. The last class meeting
will include a mini-test,
wrap-up and questions.
To receive the full benefit
of this course it is important
that participants attend all
class meetings. It is also
important to note that
registering for an ACT
Preparation course does not
register students for the ACT
test.
The fee for the session is
$149 and includes the 532-page
study guide “Cracking the ACT,”
administration of the pre-test
complete with results, and all
instruction. Early registration
is recommended due to limited
space. To register, or for more
information, call (920) 929-1155
or
register online.
Continuing Education at
UW-Fond du Lac offers
scholarships to economically
disadvantaged youth for ACT
Prep. Scholarship participants
will receive either a 100%
scholarship (free) or 75%
scholarship (reduced). A copy of
the participant's free/reduced
lunch program letter from their
high school district is needed
to be eligible.
