Gallery named to honor donors

A reception to honor a major gift given to UW-Fond du Lac by the Oberreich Foundation Board of Directors was held in March 2008. The gift was made to honor the lifetime of work and commitment to the Fond du Lac community by Francis and Ruth Oberreich.
“The naming of the Oberreich Art Gallery at UW-Fond du Lac will carry on a legacy of community support established by the Oberreichs, and will have a significant impact on the visual arts culture on our campus,” Christa Williams, executive director of UW-Fond du Lac Foundation said. The Oberreich Foundation carries on the beliefs and ideals established by Francis and Ruth, including a commitment to educational programs.
The Oberreich Art Gallery is located adjacent to the University Center at UW-Fond du Lac. This gallery is devoted to exhibitions and educational programs in the visual arts for both the students and community to enjoy.
A variety of naming opportunities exist at UW-Fond du Lac including buildings, rooms, gardens, scholarships and endowments. Named gifts honor the donor or designee while directly benefiting a particular area or the University as a whole.
