UW-Fond du Lac student nominated for acting scholarship

Fond du Lac, Wis. – UW-Fond du Lac student Briana Gens has been nominated to compete for the Kennedy Center/American College Theatre Festival Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship.

She was selected as the result of her performance as Emily Webb in the fall 2008 theater department production of “Our Town” at the university.

The Irene Ryan Scholarships provide recognition, honor and financial assistance to outstanding student performers wishing to pursue further education. The Irene Ryan Foundation awards 19 regional awards and two fellowships annually.
