Auditions set for UW-Fond du Lac production of “Doubt”

Auditions for UW-Fond du Lac Theater Department’s spring production of “Doubt” by John Patrick Shanley will be held 3-6 p.m. on December 8 in the Prairie Theater, 400 University Dr.

Winner of the 2005 Pulitzer Prize for drama and four Tony Awards, “Doubt” is the story of a strong-willed Catholic nun and charismatic priest, who see their responsibilities quite differently and clash over the suspicion of an inappropriate relationship with a student.

Three female roles and one male role, plus understudy roles are available. One female of color is needed.

Those auditioning will read from selected scenes and will be in-and-out within an hour. No experience is necessary. Scripts are on Reading Reserve in the UW-Fond du Lac Library.

Production dates are March 11-15. University of Wisconsin college credit (COM 131) is also available.
