UW-Fond
du Lac campus dean accepts new position
4-2-2009—UW-Fond du Lac Dean and CEO
Daniel
J. Blankenship, Ph.D., has announced he will
be leaving the campus to accept the position of
Executive Vice President and Provost at Cardinal
Stritch University in Milwaukee.
Dr. Blankenship will remain at UW-Fond du Lac
until the end of the spring semester and is
expected to begin his duties at Cardinal Stritch
University this summer.
Serving as Campus Dean of UW-Fond du Lac
since July of 2002, Dr. Blankenship is also a
tenured professor of biology within the UW
Colleges. He is active in several area
organizations serving on the
UW-Fond du
Lac Foundation Board of Directors, Fond du
Lac Noon Rotary Board, Fond du Lac Arts Council
Board and the Association of Commerce Leadership Fond du Lac Steering
Committee.
He led the campus during a time of increasing
enrollments, expansion of bachelor’s degree
completion programs and creation of the new
FastTrack program of accelerated blended courses
for adult students.
Plans are still being finalized at this time
for the search for a new campus dean and the
appointment of an interim campus dean.
