Farewell reception honoring UW-Fond du Lac’s Dean planned for May 12

4/27/09— The public is invited to attend a farewell reception honoring departing UW-Fond du Lac Dean Daniel Blankenship, 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, in the University Center Commons, 400 University Dr., Fond du Lac.

Blankenship has announced he will be leaving UW-Fond du Lac this summer to accept a new position at another university. He has served as the campus dean since July 2002.

A short program at 4:45 p.m. will include remarks from UW Colleges and UW-Extension Chancellor David Wilson, Fond du Lac County Executive Allen Buechel, UW-Fond du Lac Foundation Board President Leo Santini, UW-Fond du Lac History Professor and Steering Committee Chair Paisley Harris and UW-Fond du Lac Student Government Association President Peter Capoyianes.

Cake and beverages will be served. RSVPs are appreciated by Friday, May 8 at (920) 929-1106.

Gifts in honor of Dean Blankenship can be made to the UW-Fond du Lac Foundation-Dean Blankenship Scholarship Fund.
