Falcon 5K run/walk set for Oct. 24 at UW-Fond du Lac

Posted 9/29/09—The University of Wisconsin-Fond du Lac Athletic Department is sponsoring a 5K run/walk beginning at the campus, 400 University Dr., Fond du Lac, on Saturday, Oct. 24.

Competitive and amateur runners, joggers, walkers and families are encouraged to participate. The 5K (3.1 mile) course will start and end on Campus Drive near the UW-Fond du Lac gymnasium and will go through a residential area near campus. The start time for the 5K run/walk is 9 a.m. with registration beginning at 7 a.m. The entry fee is $15 with a t-shirt, $10 without the shirt. Awards will be presented.

A kid’s 1/3 mile run for ages 12 and under will start at 10 a.m. The fee for the kids run is $6 with a free t-shirt included.

Proceeds from this event will benefit the UW-Fond du Lac Athletic Department.
